Feng Chia University, Department of Environmental Engineering and Science,Postdoctoral Fellow L. Karuppasamy won the Ministry of Science and Technology, Postdoctoral Fellow Award for Academic Research.
Lakshmanan Karuppasamy, the Department of Environmental Engineering and Science postdoctoral fellow under the supervision of Professor Jerry J. Wu was awarded the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) Postdoctoral Researcher Research Award for his work on "Graphene nanosheets supported high-defective Pd nanocrystals as an efficient electrocatalyst for hydrogen evolution reaction".

Dr. L. Karuppasamy (left) of the Department of Environmental Science, under the supervision of Distinguished Professor Jerry J. Wu received the Ministry of Science and Technology Postdoctoral Researcher Award.
Dr. L.Karuppasamy entered the Ph.D. program at the University in academy year 103 and participated in the Taiwan-India Bilateral International Cooperation Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) for the development of energy materials and ethanol direct fuel cells. During this period, he has published many high-quality and influential papers in international journals.
This award-winning paper, published in Chemical Engineering Journal, 2021, focuses on the synthesis of highly efficient and stable electrocatalytic materials for hydrogen and oxygen production by using an innovative method. This technology has been actively negotiated with domestic energy companies for future commercialization of the equipment. Dr. L.Karuppasamy is still developing various new functional energy materials under the leadership of Professor Jerry J. Wu. Believes that he will highly contribute to the development of green energy and environmental technology in Taiwan.
